Named after the best part of the shoe.

Ambersole is a European sneaker store built around one small, honest detail: the amber gum sole that sits under some of the most enduring shoes ever made.

Why the gum sole

Gum is natural rubber, left close to the colour it comes out as — a warm, translucent amber. It grips well, it wears slowly, and it ages in public. Scuff it and the mark stays. Walk on it for a year and the amber deepens.

That is the whole idea behind this store. Shoes that look better with a few kilometres on them, not worse. Every model we stock with a gum sole gets photographed from underneath, so you can see exactly what you are buying before you buy it.

What we actually do

We are an independent retailer. We do not manufacture shoes and we are not owned by any label, which means we can be straight with you about fit, quality, and whether a model is worth the money.

We do not try to stock everything. We stock the models we would wear ourselves, in the sizes people in Europe actually buy.

We choose the model first

A silhouette earns a place here on its own merits — shape, materials, how it holds up. The logo on the side comes second.

We check the shoe, not the box

Every pair is inspected in hand before it ships: stitching, glue lines, sole bond, insole, box and labels.

We photograph the sole

Where a shoe has a gum sole, you get a close-up of it. No stock renders standing in for the real thing.

Built for Europe

Prices are in euros, with VAT included at checkout for EU destinations. Sizes are listed in EU first, with UK, US and centimetre conversions alongside. Returns go to a European address, so you are not paying international postage to send a pair back.

We ship across the EU and to selected non-EU European countries. Delivery windows and costs are listed openly on our Shipping & Delivery page — no surprises at the last step.

If a shoe does not fit, you have 30 days to send it back. That is longer than the 14-day withdrawal period EU law gives you, because two weeks is rarely enough to decide about a pair of shoes.

The Gum Sole Edit

Our first curated collection pulls together the silhouettes that made gum famous — the ones where the sole is not an afterthought but the reason the shoe reads the way it does. It is a short list on purpose.

New pairs are added as we find them. If a model sells out, it comes back only when we can source it properly.
